Well I've spent the day making sure I'm prepared for the storm , sounds silly , well it feels weird . I went shopping this afternoon and was chatting to complete strangers about the storm. It was like everyone was trying to be prepared . I don't know if one can really be prepared , because its scary stuff living with the coast one side and the lake on the other side .Of course being surrounded by trees is creepy , the wind is picking up pace now and I've been checking the weather radar i live on the coast if you check the radar i live between Swansea and Newcastle . The news update aren't very encouraging kinda creepy stating SEAS OF SEVEN METRES some waves maximum above ten metres .

Yes indeed it is pouring down .The weekend was wet and today well it showered on an off until 3pm and then it came down and hasn't stopped since . This is the coast for you , when it rains it rains .I went in Newie today to RNH and Kathy who is the dental nurse for Dr Liew sent me some of her shots of the B ship . I was gonna take the boys to have a look but the weather was so bad , we headed home. Well it is 1.30 am and puoring down , i'm Gateshead will be flooded by now. With the weather being so nasty ,i'm calling today an inservice day , unless there is a massive improvement then Em and Joe are staying home . Well i think i'll order my groceries online because i don't wanna go shopping in this weather , too many trees are hanging over the roads from the floods . Anyways NSW is in for nasty weather so that means Newcastle and Lake Macquarie .
Well it's been raining for two days and yes it will hinder the flood clean up , but hey at least we have power and well people are certainly out buying furniture .I went out in the bitter cold rainy weather , just to buy a new lounge .Well there wasn't much to choose from either a red one or gold and brown fleck kinda one .So because i wanted a modular and there was only two left i opted for the red .I would prefer white , but I'll wait until my children have moved out then I'll buy white .
Well the rain is pouring down , i love the rain , but i don't like floods . At least if we receive plenty of water , it might just stop all the talk of having to recycle waste water to drinking water ewey gross .
For the past two days my older children have been telling me , mum there is no school on Tuesday . Well i didn't think there would be , considering the damage from the storms is so widespread .
So no school for them , of course Bay is home educated and thought he'd try his luck an asked if he had time out from study because of the floods . Tsk Tsk of course the answer was no , in fact you will be doing your normal time table . As for Em and Joe I'm sure they can study as well .
Well it seems like there are so many stories yet to be told about the wild storms .
I know Nick friend Dan lost all of his belongings and went to stay at his aunts house, as his place was flooded . The following evening he went back to his place to see if anything was worth collecting . When Dan arrived back to his aunts place a tree had fallen on her house . He said his just glad that they had all left together and none of his relatives were hurt .
The New South Wales Government has decided against declaring a state of emergency for the Hunter and Central Coast regions. Well then i guess his not living here is he , right now i'm glad Nick arrived home safe after a ten hour trip . We lost power for twenty hours , due to the storm that people have been saying was like a minor cyclone its absolute chaos everywhere .I didn't go out shopping for groceries yesterday because to many trees falling onto the roads .. Nick's mate Dan has lost all his belongings :( . I went shopping today because i was gonna buy a portable bbq to cook as we'd had no power for twenty hours .I didn't have any luck most shops that are open are running on generators and ppl just going crazy buying torches n batteries .Tress are down everywhere . Its also snowing up further north of " Hunter Region " this is chaos weather , and absolutely freezing .Thank God we now have power again . Also i pray for those whom have lost their lives . If this weather keeps up i guess we might have more power failures.

I didn't want Nick to travel back from Bathurst this morning , i just knew it was gonna be bad , i had that feeling for the past two days.. I just recieved a sms stating stuck ppl have died , i tried calling couldn't get through mobile services are down i managed to hear him when he just called mum its pouring we can't move the car ,, thats it . The rain hasn't stopped pouring down for two days , a part of the road at Gosford collapsed people were washed away , children . God bless these people .. I have try get through to Nick im going crazy not knowing .
Last week seemed just like most weeks had been , always something to deal with for the last three months have been what one could say very trying times.
I decided to check my mailbox and i was so excited to receive a parcel from my very special cyber friend friend Desi :) . It had been a very long time since i had received a gift from anyone especially coming all the way from Malaysia . Desi's book Midnight Voices and other poems to me is worth its weight in gold , actually it is priceless , because it to me it is a link to a special friend i hold dear to my heart. For Desi is a Midnight Voice that has never failed to be there during good times and bad times . Desi for much of the past two years has been my bridge over troubled waters and has guided me home , helping keep the strength .
It is a very special person that can consistantly be there for another person , even when one has his own things in life to deal with , i know that Desi's friendship is in fact a gift God has given me and i shall treasure our friendship forever , for it is a true friendship tied in a knot by angels hands and it will never come undone.
Desi's book Midnight Voices and other Poems is beautiful .People sometimes say that a person has a beautiful soul . I've learnt from my friendship with Desi and by reading his book that Desi himself has a beautiful soul.
